The Legacy

The Legacy of Mission to South Africa is in our family. This includes the family of Stuart and Marilyn Cook, but also includes our Christian brothers and sisters who work shoulder to shoulder with us in this ministry. Following are pictures and a brief synopsis of each of these valued members of M2SA.
Stuart and Marilyn Cook:

Richard and Cathie Aub and Family are actively involved in many things, but the primary focus is currently with A World Aware/South Africa. Cathie is a director in this organization, and provides immeasurable value to logistics and organizational structure. Richard has been providing facility for AWA adding professionalism to every effort. The children are members of the first permanant team in South Africa, the "Blesboks". They add blessings to all the volunteers of AWA.

Kathleen Cook: Our youngest daughter has been a care-giver at Kids Haven, a large children’s home, for the past six years. She is a guide and mother-figure to many small children and youth from extremely troubled backgrounds.
Kathleen, who was adopted into our family, was herself an abandoned child in a children’s home before being adopted into the Cook family as a young child. She knows first-hand what it is like to be homeless and neglected. Recently she has located and been dramatically reunited with her brothers and sisters from whom she was separated over thirty years ago, and has discovered and met two other siblings whose existence was unknown! Praise the Lord!

In Johannesburg:

The work of Aletheia in that huge metropolitan area is being continued by Billy and Connie Wicks, Stu’s and Marilyn’s oldest daughter and son-in-law.
· Donated foods are distributed, primarily to orphans and other needy children.
· Support services and assistance at administration is provided to many Black ministries. Many dedicated Black Christians are leading great works for the Lord, but lack the ability to maintain proper financial records, complete forms and make applications for assistance.
· Large quantities of donated building materials, kitchen and office equipment carpeting and furniture have been accumulated for future use or given away to other missions.
· Kathleen Cook is a house parent and care-giver for a group of orphaned or abused children at Kids Haven children’s village.
· The Alexandra Outreach Centre led by Joe Mabula, which includes youth activities, church and children’s ministries, is often assisted by Aletheia.
· A group of Soweto crèches (nursery schools) receive food from Aletheia. Many of these children are from parentless homes where all adults have died from Aids.
· Other donations goes to elderly White pensioners with incomes too small to provide sufficient food.
