For many years Stu and Marilyn were involved in what can only be described as “high stress” activities, and were involved in a wide variety of ministries and activities:

Stu’s activities over the years have included church planting, preaching and teaching, counselling, leadership training, personal development seminars, administration, welfare activities, research and writing.

Marilyn has always been “mother” to vast numbers of troubled people of all ages, counsellor, teacher, bookkeeper and administrator.

From 1979 until 2000, Aletheia was a well-known inner-city feature in Johannesburg, with a wide variety of ministries. Thousands of individuals people in crisis circumstances were cared-for at Aletheia Christian Centre. Between four and five thousand others participated in week-long training seminars.  A seminar organization established by Stu and known as “Insights International” has conducted week-long seminars with between four and five thousand participants in several different countries. These have proven to be extremely powerful tools that have dramatically produced deep and lasting benefits in the attitudes and functioning abilities of countless men and women.
